Let's admit it, we all stayed until the end of Captain Marvel to see what Avengers: Endgame would have in store for us, scheduled for release on Wednesday, April 23rd in France. We've also all seen newbies leave at the beginning of the credits.

Are you one of those newbies who left before the end of the Captain Marvel credits? Let's tell you what the credits were trying to tease us with.

What we saw in the end credits of Captain Marvel

The Captain Marvel logo appears on a pager (we saw it a little earlier in the film, when Captain Marvel gives it to Fury "in case of emergency"). Fury just has time to send a message before disappearing into dust, like Maria Hill a few seconds before (SO THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!! CAPTAIN MARVEL YOU MUST RESPOND!!). In the next scene, we find Captain America in the Avengers HQ. In front of him, screens where the number of people missing following Tanos' seizure of power (with a snap of his fingers!) is only increasing. James Rhodes arrives to warn them that a pager has been recovered near Fury's car! The pager has turned off even though Banner explains that he bypassed the battery to keep it on! The Avengers still don't know why the former director of S.H.I.EL.D used it! They all decide together to restart the device... But no need because CAPTAIN MARVEL IS THERE! In the same outfit as in 1995 with longer hair! She asks where Fury is... BLACK SCREEN!

Avengers Endgame is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the year (thank goodness it's coming out in April!! ha ha ha) but also the conclusion of more than 10 years of Marvel films.

We offer you 5 (very, very likely!) theories

Will Captain America die?

Theory: The Soul Stone orders a sacrificial victim, and it will be Captain America... Steve will sacrifice himself (probably for Tony) in order to use the Infinity Gauntlet and save half the world!

Probability: HIGHLY PROBABLE! Chris Evans has all but confirmed he's done with the MCU. He celebrated his last day of filming with a sweet goodbye tweet.

Will Gamora save everyone?

Theory: Since she was thrown into a bottomless void instead of being turned to dust, we could have thought she was dead... But nooooo! Gamora will play a key role in the Soul Stone. It's Gamora who will manipulate the gauntlet and eliminate Tanos to save everyone else!

Probability: Very likely! Gamora is the one closest to Thanos, it makes sense that she'll be the one to kill him!

Will Shuri resurrect Vision?

Theory: Shuri created a copy of the Mind Stone just in time and she'll find Vision's corpse. She'll stick the stone on Vision's forehead and bring him back to life (We would have loved that! RIP Vision).

Probability: Unlikely! This theory doesn't seem like it would add any value to the storyline... Bringing one character back to life is really minimal in a movie that will probably bring back several others. Unless it's a way to bring the Mind Stone back into play...

Will the Avengers master time travel?

Theory: The surviving Avengers will go back in time and defeat Thanos in the 90s with Captain Marvel.

Probability: Possible! Disney CEO Bob Iger talked about different realms in the latest Avengers. So, apparently, it's quite possible that the action could take place in locations "that may be separated geographically or separated in time, not just in location, but in time." Plus! Photos show the actors in older costumes, which means there will be flashbacks or that Captain Marvel must be in the 90s for a reason. But the question is: How will the Avengers manage to subdue Thanos?

A wedding on the horizon?

Theory: Tony and Pepper are going to get married!

Probability: Likely! A photo of Pepper wearing an engagement ring has already leaked! Then Sebastian Stan, aka Captain America, confirmed that ALL the members of the MCU returned for "a key scene during filming"!

"There was one scene, I think, where everyone was there. I can't really speak to that scene, but I knew it took them three months to plan that scene so everyone was there. You look around and you see everything from Samuel L. Jackson to Michael Douglas to Michelle Pfeiffer. Everyone was there!"

To conclude, Avengers: Endgame is highly anticipated by fans and will have to pull out all the stops to make the film a lasting impression. Ending with a big, beautiful wedding would be magnificent! Unless it's Tony's imagination...
